In class today, my teacher mentioned John (Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s transgender son), referring to him as ‘their daughter who wishes to be called a boy.’ I responded by saying ‘So you mean their son.’ He said ‘I will only refer to her as her real gender, because it’s my choice.’ And so I’ve decided to always refer to this teacher as Mrs. instead of Mr. and if they don’t like being misgendered, oh well, because it’s my choice.
